Graminicides

The graminicides (e.g. sethoxydim, haloxyfop) are herbicides that are used for controlling grass weeds in broadleaf crops. There is some controversy regarding the mechanism by which these herbicides kill weeds. The favoured hypthesis is that the weeds are killed by binding to a plant enzyme stopping it producing fats and oils needed for growth.
