The Shuttleworth Alliance has been formed to evaluate, under practical and commercial farm conditions, all the concepts associated with precision farming. It aims to provide a multi-disciplinary farm test-bed, the results of which will be of interest to all involved with precision farming, including farmers, manufacturers, suppliers of farm inputs, agronomic and management advisers and the scientific community.

The Alliance holds regular seminars, field visits, demonstrations and an annual conference. Members receive newsletters, press cuttings and data sheets and may participate in Focus Groups to discuss specific topics of interest. The Alliance is not a commercial venture. It was formed as a European Economic Interest Group (EEIG).
