The Crop Protection Association, formerly British Agrochemicals Association is the UK's trade association of companies engaged in the manufacture, formulation, development, and national distribution of pesticide and crop protection products for agriculture, forestry, horticulture, home gardening, industrial and local authority outlets. The objectives of the Association include:

  • To promote the role and benefits of the industry's products and services and increase the confidence in the systems which regulate them;
  • To minimise the impact of regulation upon the industry with practical and science-based legislation as the objective;
  • To promote Best Practice in all levels of the industry and in the use of its products; and
  • To influence international association activity in line with the Crop Protection Association's objectives and to the benefit of the UK industry.

Pesticide distributors, manufacturers and those companies in possession of technical control of the production of pesticides, within the UK, are all eligible to join, subject to the application procedure.

The educational activities of the Association include producing free literature for schools and the public.
