ADLib Glossary (J to L)

Definition:

Kept Separately (waste)

Each waste type needs to be stored in separate containers or parts of a place so that each waste type is easily distinguishable. The main reason for this is to ensure that the wastes can be easily recovered or recycled and won’t be contaminated by the other wastes. If you get too much contamination between materials it may mean the whole lot has to go for disposal.
