General Description:

This makes certain operations allowable providing the following:

(a) Any treatment by physiotherapy is carried out under instruction from a veterinary surgeon.

(b) Removal from fowl of-

(i) Not more than one third of top and bottom beak, measured from the top to the nostrils, carried out in a single operation.

(ii) Removal of one third of top beak as measured above, providing any haemorrhaging is stopped by cauterisation.

(c) The removal from foul of its comb or a dependant portion of the wattle, unless in the case of the comb the fowl is older than 72 hours.
