General Description:

This act, amended by the Animal Health and Welfare Act 1984, states that live poultry should be killed instantaneously by decapitation, dislocation of neck or by other approved methods. This does not apply to animals killed by the Jewish method and performed by a Jew or by the Muslim method and performed by a Muslim.
